The Modern Dance Group Dunkan was established in January 2002, and since May 2006 began the Culture and Art Foundation Dunkan, actually, encourages, directs, promotes and disseminates different manifestations of Urban Culture through artistic, educational and social activities which contributes to make up for the artistic needs on children, teenagers, adults, and also public and private organizations in Colombia. Among our most notable awards are:
1. District-level awards for Best Urban Dance Group since 2002 to date, events organized by Public Organizations such as District Secretary of Culture and Tourism and The Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra
2. Places obtained in the last three years to represent Colombia at the World Championships Hip Hop Dance at the U.S.A (2007, 2008 and 2009).
3. First cultural foundation, which makes a Urban Dance workout (Hip Hop Dance and Break Dance), winner of the District's Scholarship Foundation in Dance and participating in the XII Iberoamerican Theater Festival 2010.
4. Organizers of the Colombia's largest Urban Dance Festival, on it´s 3 versions (2008, 2009 and 2010), bringing together the country's best urban dancers on a single event.
